Pass Christian, MS
We departed Houston early Saturday morning. It took around 8 hours to get to the Pass including a couple of quick stops.
If you have been to Texas you probably know about Buc-ees. If you haven't, stop reading, jump in your car and head towards the nearest one. Yes, we love Buc-ees and you will too.
Back on the road, crossing the Atchafalaya basin bridge. At 18.2 miles long it is the 3rd longest bridge in the US.
We also stopped at the Mississippi welcome center. They have complimentary coffee and you can empty your RV black and gray tanks for free.
Pass Christian is only about 30 minutes from the welcome center. Once we arrived we set up the travel trailer under the big oak tree in front of Dana's grandmothers house. The Mardi Gras parade passes right in front of her property. Thank you Grandma for letting us stay with you.
Sunday morning we got up early and walked around checking out the floats.
It's not everyday that you see a lifted pink truck. This pic is for Vibeke. lol
Huge turn out, around 50,000 attended the parade.
We backed the truck up and had a front row seating.
Let the parade begin!
Lots of fun!
