Santa Fe and the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino

We decided that Sana Fe would be a good place to spend the night on our way home. We did a little site seeing before having dinner at Tomasita's. Our first stop was the open market area. Dana got a beautiful heart shaped stone wrapped in silver wire. The lady in the picture below made it while we waited. Great craftsmanship.

Our second stop was at the San Miguel Church. The Oldest Church structure in the USA. The original adobe wall and altar were built by Tlaxcalan Indians from Mexico under the directions of Franciscan Padres. ca. 1610

A little know fact: 80 people are buried under the floor of the Church.

After a delicious dinner at Tomasita's and a short drive we checked into the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino.

View from our room

Dana went down to the Casino to try her luck on the one armed bandits. I decided to enjoy a glass of the honey whiskey we picked up in Colorado and relax in the room.

Great room, modern, clean and comfortable.

Lots of native american art and statues around the property.

We had a fantastic vacation and hope you enjoyed the photos and reading about our adventure.

Coming Soon:
Mardi Gras on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
